JRC/Shakespeare sponsor Suffolk Water Park
I went along to meet Mark Harrison of Suffolk Water Park recently to firm up our sponsorship of this fabulous complex of lakes. I first visited this venue about 5 years ago with Dave Lane and Nigel Sharp, and I seem to recall Laney fluking a carp out yet again!
There are 9 lakes in total, including the training lakes, offering excellent fishing for most species, with big Carp to over 40lb, Bream, Tench, Roach, Rudd and Pike. There are good facilities on site, including a tackle shop, where you can now purchase many JRC items, a toilet and shower block, plus an excellent cafe. The owners have are some great plans to improve the facilities further in the near future, and we will be working very closely with the team there to help develop the angling activities and events available .
I shall be going back there again soon and will update on the latest news, including a new competition sponsored by JRC!
Until then, be lucky
Suffolk Water Park is a privately owned day ticket fishery, located just a couple of miles north-west of Ipswich, Suffolk.
A former quarry works, the fishery has been carefully developed over the past seven years by proprietor Peter Clapperton. The result is a magnificent site, offering some of the very best fishing in the area.
We cater for anglers of all abilities, and offer professional teaching for absolute beginners of any age.
"My vision was to create a first class fishing facility and to encourage both existing anglers and those new to the sport.
I encourage you to visit Suffolk Water Park yourself in order to take advantage of our facilities. If you have youngsters in your care then please offer them the opportunity to participate too. Fishing really is one of the very best all-round activities a young person can experience."
